IRDL advisory board spotlight: Jennifer Masunaga
Hello Internet! My name is Jennifer Masunaga, I’m a Reference and Instruction Librarian at Loyola Marymount University and a member of the IRDL Advisory Board. I received my undergraduate degree in English and Comparative Literary Studies at Occidental College in 2006 and my MLIS from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2008. I’ve been working at LMU for three and half years and I’m currently the library liaison to the School of Education, the department of Chicana/o Studies and the Asian Pacific American Studies department. I was invited to participate in the IRDL Advisory Board by Dean Brancolini and Marie Kennedy because I am also a “newbie” to library research and my role in the group is to help represent the perspective of potential IRDL participants. I hope that our program will give fledgling researchers a firm foundation so that they can become the next generation of information science scholars. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone this summer.
